Yesterday Tom Dosland paddled out to a wave on Maui aptly named “Jaws.” The surf was 50-60 foot and Doslin paddled into the wave of his life. That’s when everything went pear-shaped.
He fell from the sky hoping to pencil dive into the trough of the wave, when his leash suddenly pulled his leg back and he fit face-first. If that wasn’t bad enough, the wave picked him up and sucked him over the falls and into the depths. He’s lucky to be alive and have a heck of a story to tell.
